UT fans...what happened?

with Brandon Warren?

I saw some of the antics, but I saw nothing to kick him off the team.
Whats the real story?

Im curious to find out why Warren was kicked off but Jones faced no discipline

Lung may be able to bring more but from everything I have read and seen the issue with Warren goes all the way back to spring ball. He has been in and out of the dog house since Kiffin has been here. I am actually surprised he wasn't one of the ones who left initially when Kiffin came in and several left the program. He has seriously been butting heads with not only Kiffin but other coaches as well.

The issue with Gerald Jones from my perspective was more of a heat of the moment type thing and didn't go much further than that. He went to the coaches and apologized to them for his outburst but Warren has done nothing but consistently get disciplined and the staff were tired of it.

That is my take on it but maybe Lung can clarify or bring more to the situation from some things he has seen or heard.

i knew warren and kiffin werent getting along, and the **** Warren pulled saturday was out of line, but I didnt think it waranted getting kicked off the team.

I heard he got into it with the WR coach, and that was the final straw.

I dunno what to believe, Warren is not a person I had heard anything about discipline wise, but I dunno.
I dont trust Kiffin 100% either, I feel like he had it out for Warren from day one for some reasno.

He probably did with his lack of effort that he put in from the get go. He missed several practices, meetings, and other things in the spring and has been in the dog house from day 1 with the new staff.

He told them he was quiting back in the Spring. Then a couple days later he came back and said he wasn't quiting. That's when Kiffin pulled his number and made him practice without one and "earn it back". If Kiffin had it out for him he wouldn't have let him come back or moved him to a position where he could be more successful. Supposedly, he hadn't made it through a single practice from Spring on without saying something was hurt and it was always something different. He didn't take the mental aspect of things seriously either. I think it was just that he never put in the dedication that they wanted and him getting into it with Wilson that was the final straw.

As for Warren and his character/discipline problems the TSSAA suspended him 2 different times for his conduct during games his SR year. The kid seems to be a hothead and kind of lazy. Too bad. After seeing his uncle post on Volquest, the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

He sure bounced that helmet pretty good coming off the sideline after Han**** had the ball ricochet off of his facemask. I could tell he was in very heated discussion with someone and many players around after it happened, but couldn't tell who. As lung stated, he has had many issues since spring ball. Good riddance if he didn't want to work hard to improve his football abilities.

I didnt know about all the indiscretions in spring, it makes more sense now.

He has all the talent in the world, but now his chances at the nfl are slim to none.

That was Han****'s 2nd drop in as many plays (and people give Crompton ****)....but Kiffin acts like a little baby...and sucks as a coach. He doesn't get his way, or things don't go his way and he pouts. I'd say his time at UT isn't gonna be long..and if his daddy wasn't who he is, he'd prolly already be on the hot seat. He's been non-stop drama since he was hired.

Yes, you are correct about the Han**** situation. That series is where Crompton started becoming a little more accurate at that point in the game.

I don't know what you are referring to on the Kiffin acting like a baby deal though. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with a HC coming in and cleaning house. Get rid of the bad apples if they don't want to buy into the program.

Seriously...looking at his track record as a head coach, and as much controversy he has started in both Oakland and at UT, would you as a player buy into that program? I know I wouldn't.
